House rules.

1. The property

Cembra Apartments are two independent apartments (Stream and Pine) in a private 1933 log house at Szkolna 16/2, Zakopane. They are let short-term by a private individual, Klaudia Nida (“the hosts” in these rules).

These rules apply to everyone staying in the apartments. Making a booking constitutes acceptance of these rules.

2. Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 4 pm on arrival day and check-out by 11 am on departure day. Other times are possible by prior arrangement with the hosts, cleaning schedule permitting.

Check-in is self-service: the key is in a lockbox by the gate, and the hosts send the access details and directions before arrival.

Before departure, please take the rubbish to the bins by the gate and leave the keys inside the apartment.

3. Booking and payment

Bookings can be made through the form on this site, by email (book@cembrazakopane.pl), by phone (+48 720 866 658) or through a booking portal. A form submission on this site is a request for the dates — the booking becomes binding once the hosts confirm it.

The price of the stay, the amount of any deposit or prepayment and the due date of the balance depend on the dates and the selected offer. They are shown before booking and stated in the booking confirmation.

For bookings made through a booking portal (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb), the payment terms shown on that portal apply.

4. Cancellation and changes

Cancellation terms depend on the selected offer and are shown before booking. The terms stated in the booking confirmation apply, or, for portal bookings, the terms of that portal.

Changes of dates are possible subject to availability, by arrangement with the hosts.

5. Number of guests

Each apartment sleeps at most 4 guests (a 160 × 200 cm bed and a sofa bed). Only the number of guests declared at booking may stay overnight — any change requires prior arrangement with the hosts.

6. Quiet hours and use of the apartment

• quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am, including on the balconies, terrace and yard — sound carries easily in a log house, so please be considerate of other guests and neighbours,
• parties, including stag and hen events, are not permitted,
• the property may be monitored, and in serious cases, such as breaches of quiet hours, a security company may intervene on site,
• the apartment and its equipment must be used as intended,
• please leave footwear, especially ski boots and wet hiking boots, at the entrance,
• please close windows and doors when going out.

7. No smoking or open flames

• smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited throughout the building, balconies and terrace included,
• due to the wooden structure, open flames (candles, incense, barbecues) and fireworks are not permitted anywhere on the property,
• smoking indoors will incur the cost of ozone treatment and additional cleaning,
• the apartments are equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers — unjustified use will incur an additional cleaning fee.

8. Pets

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement with the hosts. An additional cleaning fee applies for pets — the hosts state the amount when arranging the stay. Owners are responsible for their pet’s behaviour and for any damage it causes.

9. Liability

• please report any faults or damage to the hosts without delay,
• guests are liable for damage caused by themselves and by those staying with them, and for any damage or injury resulting from improper use of the equipment,
• if a key is lost, the cost of replacing the lock will be charged to the guest,
• parents and carers are responsible for children’s safety — please take particular care near the stream and on the balcony,
• on-site parking is free of charge and unguarded; the hosts are not liable for vehicles or belongings left in them,
• in the event of a serious breach of these rules, the hosts may terminate the stay.
